Important Service Bulletin for Bighorn 550 Owners
At Bighorn, our mission has always been clear: to deliver durable, dependable machines and to stand behind our customers long after the sale. We take pride in building quality vehicles that support your work, adventure, and everyday life—and when issues arise, we respond with transparency to make things right.
We’ve recently issued a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB-103) for certain Bighorn 550 carts manufactured during 2023 (10th digit VIN # P), 2024 (10th digit VIN # R), and early 2025 (10th digit VIN # S, less than 0341). A small percentage of these units—approximately 2.5–3% of vehicles—may experience engine concerns if the oil is not changed before the unit is put into use.
What you need to know:
- If your Bighorn 550 was shipped from Bighorn before July 1, 2025 and you have not performed an oil change, we recommend scheduling a service visit with your service center for an oil change. To verify if your unit is impacted, contact [email protected]
- If repairs are needed, Bighorn will fully cover the work under warranty.
To reinforce our commitment to our customers, any affected Bighorn owners that require engine work due to TSB-103 will receive a new 1 year warranty on their engine.

I bought the 2025 big horn 550 in September, I love it but sometimes when I take off or go in reverse it sounds like a belt squealing, doesn’t do it every time, but concerns me. I really like my purchase for 11k but it only has 60 miles on it, wanting to buy accessories for it but don’t know if I’m going to have constant future problems.
